Temporary Studio Closure due to Covid-19 outbreak

To All of our lovely Pilates Family

My goodness, what a week this has been for everyone. It is with great regret, while at the same time the right and responsible thing to do, to close both The Pilates Studio and the mat classes from today. I am sure you will appreciate that things have escalated very quickly over the past 48 hours, and we have gone from thinking we would be able to stay open until the end of the term, to hoping we could continue for the week, and then this morning we had to make the decision to close all Pilates classes (big and small) until further notice, all in a matter of 48 hours! Chapel House Studios are closed from today.

I have cancelled everyones direct debits today. Some payments that were scheduled to go out later this week I have managed to stop (so you may have had an email to say that money would be taken, however, it may in fact not have been!). Any classes beyond Tuesday/yesterday, I will refund as credit back to your pilates online account, and you will be able to use this as credit towards your next payment, once classes resume. As you will probably be aware, all studio clients pay on a different day of the month and therefore everyone is due a different amount of credit. I will need to do all these manually and individually and with well over 100 clients, please forgive me that this may take me a couple of days.

Swapboard

With regards to any swaps that you entered on to the Swapboard for classes prior to today and have not yet used, please keep the tokens, and we will ensure that you can use them as soon as classes resume. I will cancel any swaps and tokens from tomorrow going forward, as these classes will be credited back to you (see above).

Can I please encourage you to make contact if you are not happy with any of the above. My aim is that no-one should feel they have paid for something they did not receive, no-one should be pilates unhappy in any way, so please do let me know if I can improve on any individual situation.

Please be reassured that we will be opening up again and continuing to do what we know and love, as soon as it is advised that we can do so safely for all.

In the meantime

Jill and I are looking into putting some online classes together, such that during these tricky times, you will be able to carry on with all your committed and good Pilates work (just when you thought you were off the hook!). We will communicate more about this to you, as soon as we are able.

On a personal note….
In the weeks to come, I know that this period is going to be very difficult for many. We invite you to stay in touch, Pilates or otherwise.

I must just also say that while it is me writing this email, I know that Jill is just as devastated as I am at having to make the decisions we have today; and she would also like to extend her good wishes to you all.

Stay safe Pilates Friends.

Annita
