Pilates Reformer Classes

Reformer Classes are done using a Pilates Reformer. A Pilates Reformer is a large piece of specialised Pilates equipment with straps, springs and gears. It is capable of both challenging you (that's a promise!) and assisting you, depending on how it is set up. The highly flexible nature of the Reformer means you can set it up to suit your specific needs - meaning all the work you do on it will be highly effective for you. If you are familiar with Pilates in a matwork setting, you are going to love working on a Pilates Reformer!

We have five reformers in our studio in Totnes. They are all slightly different, so you will be able to familiarise yourself with all five over time.

Who are they for?
These Reformer classes are suitable if you have no significant injuries (if you do not feel this includes you, rest assured, you can still benefit from using the Reformer in a setting other than these classes - please just ask)

Pre-Requirements
You can join a Beginners Reformer Course, or embark on a series of one to one sessions. This would be a series of one-to-one sessions on the Reformer. It is difficult to tell you exactly how many sessions this may take (anywhere between 2 and 8, depending on your previous experience and injury history). However, please do call us to get some more information, if needed. Please see the timetable at  the-pilates-studio.com/pages/to-book/110
